Those of you who've read my profile know that I collect action figures, mostly horror-related, but I also have sci-fi, super-hero, action-adventure,and just downright sexy figures as well.
I've been doing this ever since McFarlane Toys created the Movie Maniac figures, though you might say I've been doing it since 1963, when I got almost an entire set of the Marx Monsters...
Be that as it may, I used to belong to a message board devoted to the Movie Maniacs figures. As time passed, it became a community for action figure collectors, period - always with it's primary focus on horror action figures, but with interesting detours now and again....
One of the favorite pastimes on this board was making up "want lists" - figures we wanted to see made. So whattaya say? Wanna give it a shot?
If you could have six characters of your choice made into action figures, who would you choose?
For now, let's stick with horror-related characters - if the topic takes off, I'll make new posts for other types of figures.
My top six (drum roll, please):
- Regan McNeill - The Exorcist - comes with head-spinning action - accessories - a bloodstained cross and the Ouija board that started it all
- Karen Cooper - Night of the Living Dead (1968) - comes with a bloodstained trowel
- The Miner - My Bloody Valentine - comes with his trademark pickaxe and a bloodstained heart-shaped candy box which contains a human heart (nummy!)
- Jack Crow - Vampires - comes with his crossbow
- Samara - The Ring - comes with a "well" base
- Herbert West - Re-Animator - comes with a bottle of his reagent, a hypodermic needle, Dr. Hill's severed head, and a pan to keep it in
