BAH HUMBUG

i would have to say this time of year has to be my least fav......The infamous holidays.... it starts after thanksgiving and seems like it never ends until way after the new yr. ppl running around buying gifts they cant afford for ppl they dont even really like, and dont get me started on the christmas music in every fucking place i walk into. last yr was the first yr i had a tree since being on my own and i got so pissed at the garland i ripped it and the whole tree down......that was kind of funny though!! seeing me rip the hell out of the tree but it did make me feel better...lol dont get me wrong i LOVE my family, mainly my mom, bro and his kids. but i hate the family christmas parties. you go and see ppl in your family that you havent seen or talked to since last yr and dont forget the werid uncle frank that seems like some kind of perv....why is it theres one in every family. not to mention if you have a boy or girlfriend u gotta go to their family shit too! just seems like a lot of shit to me, stresses me out makes me feel like i have a ton of shit to do and nothings done till after the new yr.

i dunno though one thing that does make it all worth while is the kids, i dont have any of my own but thats probably another reason its no fun for me. i do love seeing the neices and nephews and friends kids on or after xmas and how happy they are. maybe when i do have some kids it may change a bit for me but until then i say...........

I do believe kids change the out look.  I know having two of my own do it for me.  I could care less about the whole fucking ordeal but seeing my two happy brings me great joy and to me that is the best gift of all.  So what little I can manage to do I do for them.  My daughter got so happy and excited putting up the tree and the different stuff.  Made me smile.....My son got joy out of it as well...so that is my reason for doing it.  I know my cousin Mouse will enjoy this year even more so...this is he son's first Christmas...So your day will come.  So for now try to hang in there it will end soon.....

If anyone read my blog then you know how I feel about the Holidays. But Its really hard on me  with the fact that I do have a 2 yr. old and I have to have Christmas for him............He has nothing to do with my issues of not enjoying the holidays anymore. Im depresed as hell this year because I will not have my Mother to come over and eat dinner with us or watch the kids open their gifts......I know I need to move on, but not ready yet.......but I seriously cant wait until the whole ordeal is over with. Call me "The Grinch" btw my 2 yr old loves that movie, lol.....

 Here is a general thought!  I have read lots of peoples views on this, and most have said the same thing that LIL said.  

WHY is it that most people surcome to the commerical hype of xmas. its a christian holiday. if your not christian then why worry?  Do you get upset or worried because you didnt have Hanukkah?  or Kwanzaa or .... ETC.  we can talk for dayz about different religions. 

 

I was raised a Jehovah Witness for 12yrs. I really dont do xmas either, it feels weird and over rated to me. I have to lie to my kids and tell them santa brought them gifts!!! Fuck that, I bought the gifts and it was I that made it possible.

I give all year round. I dont wait until birthday,xmas,easter or any other national holiday to give.

During this christian season, I give my son's gifts weekly, I buy a tree, I tell them its because I like the smell, which I do :)  and I dont decorate it in tradtion christian ways. I have our favorite activites. Hotwheels, popcorn, stuffed animals, we hang some stuffed animals with a noose, cause its funny :)!!! hahaha

I dont lie and tell them santa is real, I say its a story, like the tooth fairy, or peterpan. ....  I dont dwell on the christian side...

 

I call it the winter holidays, time for snow and playing and giving and receiving.

maybe im rambling on, the Crown is kicking in pretty good :)  hahhaa

I do save a good gift for xmas EVE!  not DAY.   but its from DAD, not santa!

Nigtmare before xmas has been great to use as decor aswell :)
