I do not fear the reaper, and the Afterlife is a wide subject in its self. so, here is my take.
How you die has alot to do with were you go, or how you are rested. I believe that if you have fulfillment in your life and are content with who you became and accomplished. Then you would merely just be sleeping with no dreams. no roaming,no ghost, just complete rest!
Now, if you have not fulfilled your desires in life, you will roam as a spirit and continue on. you would not reincarnate, but be lost until you have fulfillment.
If you die a violent death not brought on by yourself "murder" then you would be a ghost at the location at which you were killed. seeking revenge onto the living.
In person, I could talk about this subject for dayz : ) its all in our own perception. there is no proof.
